Circuit City, which announced last week it was closing 155 stores and laying off thousands of employees, is also letting go as many as 800 workers from corporate headquarters in Richmond, Va.
The remaining 1000 workers will be consolidated into one building, one worker who lost her job told Richmond Times-Dispatch.
The electronics retailer would not confirm the new job cuts. "Out of respect for our associates, we’re not going to comment" a spokesman told the paper.
