A rival massively multiplayer online shooter hopes to provide an online home for gamers left "homeless" by the untimely closure of APB's online servers.

Hi-Rez Studios, creator of Global Agenda, announced a week-long discount on its game in a press release Saturday. Until this Friday, newcomers to Global Agenda can buy the game for 30 percent off. That puts the price of the game at $21. To take advantage of the deal use the coupon code "LongLiveShooterMMOs" when purchasing the game.

Global Agenda is an MMO third-person shooter for PC that launched in February. Unlike many games of its ilk, Global Agenda has no monthly fees.

APB, an online PC game from beleaguered Realtime Worlds, launched in June but was shut down Thursday.
