HBO released Kenny Powers’ Home Run Fiesta: Deep Inside Mexico for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch this week. The free game casts you as a batter swinging in a home run derby against the "Bulletproof Tiger" himself.
For the uninitiated, Kenny Powers is the protagonist of Eastbound and Down, an HBO comedy series starring Danny McBride. The show kicked off its second season on Sunday, finding Powers washed up in Mexico where he decides to mount a comeback by pitching for a sad-sack Mexican league team called The Churros.
Home Run Fiesta is a 16-bit-inspired trip to that same mound, complete with blue Powers trash talk and a donkey painted like a zebra.
