Prometheus trailer mashup "Wall-Etheus" delivers possibly the most terrifying version of Wall-E in existence.

With visuals from the Pixar film set against the dark sounds of the trailer for Ridley Scott's upcoming Alien spinoff, Wall-E comes off all dystopia, with none of the fun, robot-love-story stuff that made the original animated movie so endearing.

It's the latest trailer mashup from YouTuber moviemaestroten (aka Brad Hansen, the whiz behind "The Lion King Rises").

Despite the fact that "Wall-Etheus" mixes two nearly opposite movies (we're presuming Prometheus won't be kids' stuff), the two films can be meshed easily because there's very little dialog in Wall-E and virtually none in the trailer for Scott's highly anticipated sci-fi horror film, save for some garbled radio messages and one "Please!" scream. Put Prometheus' ominous tones against Wall-E's muted expressions, and you instantly have the most endangered robot that ever rolled over the Earth.

Not so cute now, is it?

Prometheus opens June 8, 2012, in 3-D.
