It's hard to believe that it's been nearly ten years since Firefly first hit the airwaves. Even though Firefly only lasted one season, it inspired a huge fan base that just keeps growing. To celebrate the ten year anniversary of Firefly, the Science Channel is filming a new special that will include footage from the Firefly panel taking place this weekend at SDCC.

I've been a Firefly fan, or Browncoat, since the first episode aired. So I was a little bummed that I wouldn't be able to see the new footage that will be aired at the San Diego Comic Con panel. But soon Browncoats all over the world will be able to see parts of this panel thanks to a new Science Channel special, Browncoats Unite.

Browncoats Unite will air on the Science Channel on Sunday, November 11th. You can read more about this special at Entertainment Weekly's website.
