I take a lot of notes on my iPhone. Shopping lists, appointments, notes to put out the garbage and random writings; it's sort of my go-to notepad, since it's always on me. Unfortunately, not all of my notes are legible.

Trying to gather a paragraph's worth of notes onto the iPhone can be frustrating with stubby fingers. And frankly, does anyone enjoy taking notes with a stylus? There is no replacement for a real keyboard. That said, I'm not stuffing a full-size keyboard into my bag. Why not carry a refrigerator in case I get hungry?

I don't have any snacks suggestions. For the notes, however, there's Jorno. This nifty little innovation claims to be the world’s smallest keyboard. It achieves that tiny form factor through its foldable design. When folded, it measures a mere 3.5-by-3.5-by-1.2 inches, which is perfect for your pocket or a purse.

Jorno is expected to ship in April 2013. Image: Jorno.

Once you bust it out, it can turn that iPhone, iPad or Android device into a fully functioning laptop -- or at least a device that's a lot easier to type on. In other words, you shouldn't have so many typos, making this a must-have for emails, notes or on-the-go assignments.

Jorno comes with its own detachable cradle, which can nestle just about any device in landscape or portrait mode. It also has a built-in rechargeable battery, so you don’t need to be tethered to any type of power source.

Now the bad news: Jorno isn't available to the masses just yet. At last peek, the company was close to reaching its Kickstarter goal, with the drive ending on October 17, 2012. If you want to help the company get off the ground and score a Jorno, the minimum pledge is $79. That will get you one Jorno keyboard, which is expected to ship sometime in April 2013.
