The wait for a glimpse of Peter Jackson's second Hobbit installment has heretofore felt longer than that dinner scene in the last film. Luckily, now that the release date for The Desolation of Smaug is looming, we're finally getting some clips out of Jackson's Hobbit-ing hands – including Thorin Oakenshield's chilling line "If this is to end in fire, then we will all burn together."

"That is a sexy line," Orlando Bloom, who plays Legolas, said during the "worldwide fan event" last night during which the new trailer premiered.

Starting with a rendition of the poem for the "King beneath the mountain" from J.R.R. Tolkien's novel by Bard the Bowman (Luke Evans), the latest clip has quite a bit of the same footage from the trailer released last month, but there are a few key highlights – particularly Bilbo finding out his job as burglar is to go into the mountain to retrieve the Arkenstone and – yet again – Benedict Cumberbatch's disembodied voice as Smaug booming "I am king under the mountain!" before not really showing his face. Sigh. (Seriously, saving the big reveal for the movie itself is great, but this teasing is getting out of hand.)

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug hits theaters Dec. 13. Watch the new trailer above and the entirety of last night's fan event – hosted by Anderson Cooper and featuring a shoeless Jackson – below.
