This Elegant Shelf Hides Your Mess of Charging Cables

The Spell Stage shelf looks like an ordinary walnut or oak shelf. But slide out its top and you'll find a space for a five-plug power strip and slots for threading your various gadget charging cables.

I've got almost half a dozen charging cables next to my bed: iPhone, iPad, micro USB, Garmin, smartwatch. Occasionally they're neatly organized, but most of the time they're an unsightly tangle of modern disorganization. If I had a organization solution like Spell's Stage shelf, I'd have all my chargers at-hand, but hidden from view.

At first, the Stage looks like any other ordinary walnut or oak shelf---rectangular ... shelfy. But in actuality, it's like a reverse drawer, sliding out from the wall to reveal a five-plug power strip you can place inside, as well as space for charging your various gadgetry. On top, there's a slot where you can thread charging cables, should you want to showcase your gadgets rather than hide them inside. That inside space is coated in foam rubber so you don't have to worry about smartphones or tablets getting scratched or scuffed---or knocked off the shelf top when you're bumping around the house in the night.

Unfortunately, this is an organizational solution that could prove troublesome for those who don't own a home. You need to install the shelf securely to a wall. But if that's not an issue, it could easily replace or augment existing tabletops in an entryway, hallway, living room, or bedroom.

If you want Spell's shelf in your home, you can check out their website to find a local dealer (a bit easier if you're based in Europe), or shoot them an email through an online form. The price isn't listed on the website though, and we're guessing this could be quite spendy.
