There’s really only one pair of sneakers that will complement your golden miniature-basketball hoop, and that pair of sneakers is the Adidas Porsche Design Sport Bounce:S4s. They’re technically running shoes with a boingy back-end system that transfers the energy from a heel strike to the ball of your foot, but it’s hard to keep Flubber fantasies out of your head when you look at them.

In recent history, Adidas has made several pairs of springy shoes, including the Springblade and three previous iterations of the Bounce shoe. The heel piece of the new Bounce:S4s has been redesigned, dropping the metal springs of the S3s in favor of a "leaf spring" system made from a durable polymer. Above that mechanism, there’s a carbon-fiber heel plate and a lightweight mesh upper that looks similar to Nike’s Flyknit technology. According to Adidas, the overhauled suspension system, carbon-fiber underbelly, and pliable body combine to make the new running shoes 20 percent lighter than the previous Bounces.

As you might expect from something partially constructed from carbon fiber that has the word "Porsche" printed on it, these kicks are crazy expensive. $534.17 per pair, to be exact. If you like the slick aesthetics but don’t need the extra boing, the Porsche Design Sport Pilot IIs look similar and cost only $380. But maybe the best news of all for the die-hard Adidas fan: you can still pick up an amazing pair of white-on-black shell toes for a mere $75.
