If you missed out on the now-legendary 40 Years of Star Trek auction at Christie's in 2006, then you've got a second chance to bid on iconic, screen-used props and costumes. This time, the Prop Store has listed hundreds of items from the 2009 and 2013 J.J. Abrams-directed films, Star Trek and Star Trek Into Darkness. Although these flicks took place in an alternate timeline (known to Trek fans as the Kelvin Timeline), the feature-film quality outfits and gizmos look impressive due to their big-budget provenance. Here are 11 of our favorite items you can bid on. Click here to see the full catalog of Trek items that'll be up for auction on December 2.
- The Prop StoreComplete Captain Kirk Outfit
Just to get this out of the way—yes, you can dress up as Captain Kirk. This uniform appeared in Star Trek Into Darkness, and it includes the tunic, black undershirt, insignia, boots, and pants. Money might not exist in the Federation but it does here on Earth, so get ready to pay up to an estimated $10,000 for this lot. So, when you get into a brawl, just remember how much it cost before you rip the shirt, OK? Bid here.
- The Prop StoreCaptain Pike's Class Ring
All the money in the world can't get you in to Starfleet Academy, but some dough can get you the class ring. Christopher Pike's ring is an attractive item made from metal, although it seems to bear an incorrect graduation date of 2258, which is when he was already well-established as a captain. Bid here.
- The Prop StoreSet of Federation Patches
One of the coolest parts of any Star Trek production are ephemera like these patches. It's the details that make the universe come to life, and now you can bid on a bunch of custom insignia from Starfleet Security and add them to your collection (or the back of your sweet denim jacket). Bid here.
- The Prop StorePhaser
It's a phaser. It lights up. It was used in the production of a Star Trek movie. It's shiny and silver. What more would you want from a Star Trek prop? Bid here.
- The Prop StoreAdmiral Marcus' Dress Uniform
Say what you will about the costumes in the Kelvin Timeline movies but this admiral's uniform is obviously one of the coolest. Costume designer Michael Kaplan clearly took inspiration from the 1979 Motion Picture uniforms when designing this two-tone getup for Starfleet's admirals, including the metal delta on its chest imbedded in a circle. It's the best of all possible universes. Bid here.
- The Prop StoreUnited Federation of Planets Banner
This banner features a reworked, Kelvin Timeline-style Federation logo in blue on a silvery fabric. If you're the kind of person who has a flag pole in their front yard, this finally gives you a way to show off your future allegiance to a peaceful Earth government. Bid here.
- The Prop StoreSet of Four Ops Uniforms
For you and your posse, this pack of four uniforms is the way to roll up to the Star Trek convention. Whether you're security or keepin' things in engineering on lock, you and your three closest friends can stroll the show floor in screen-worn style. Of course, given the curse of the redshirt, it could also lead to you having a few less friends, so be on your guard! Bid here.
- The Prop StoreKlingon Guard Ensemble
Here's a Klingon lot that's a one-stop-shop for all Qo'noS-loving Trekkies. Featuring a thick, elephant-skin overcoat, boots, a disrupter weapon, and even a super cool ribbed helmet with dreadlocks (nice touch), this handsome group of items would look sinister on a cosplayer or even just on a mannequin in the corner of your nerd cave. The only thing missing from this warrior's ensemble? A bat'leth. Bid here.
- The Prop StoreKirk's Starfleet Insignia
This Starfleet badge denotes service in the command division, and it happens to have been worn by Captain Kirk in the 2013 film Star Trek Into Darkness. You can buy any ordinary badge like this but c'mon. Chris Pine wore this one. Bid here.
- The Prop StoreTricorder
This screen-used tricorder prop is a must-have if you're considering bidding on a phaser. Let's be real—if you're going to have one, you'll need the other. Any Starfleet officer worth her or his salt knows that. This tricorder even includes a handy-dandy, form-fitting holster for quick stowage. Bid here.
- The Prop StoreUSS Kelvin Female Command Uniform
If you prefer the prime timeline, you might want to invest in this uniform as seen on Captain Robau's doomed, and timeline-splitting USS Kelvin. Although technically probably canon, you're sure to spark a conversation (or argument) with temporally-minded Trek fans if they catch this Kelvin uniform in your collection. Bid here.
