The Best E3 Game Sales and Preorders

E3 2019 was packed with gaming news, and some killer console and PC deals. These are our favorites.

E3 is ending. It's burning down to its embers. The big announcements, press conferences, trailers, and hands-on gameplay previews have come and gone. Keanu Reeves was there too. But as E3 closes, its deals linger. Publishers are still slashing prices on some of their latest games and hardware, and more than a few online stores are offering discounts on digital releases so you can fill out that Steam library and save a ton of cash while you do it. Most of these deals should last through the weekend, after which E3-related discounts will come to a close.

Microsoft's E3 Xbox One Deals

Microsoft is kicking off E3 with a bang, an explosion of deals, a circus of values, a big ol' pile of deals. Seriously, everything from consoles to some of the latest games, including the brand-new Mortal Kombat 11, is on sale for E3. Check out all of Microsoft's deals here.

Nintendo E3 Deals

Setting up shop in the dead of night beneath a massive leather hot-air balloon, Nintendo carefully sets out its wares: games, cardboard, controllers, and more. There's no need to run a bunch of fetch quests, Nintendo's deals are laid bare for any and all customers—if you have the coin.

Sony PS4 E3 Deals

Like a mysterious merchant lurking in the dark, Sony's opening up its coat to reveal a host of glimmering goods. With its annual Days of Play event, Sony is starting E3 off right with a limited-time sale (June 7 to 17) on everything from consoles to controllers. And if you missed out on any of the older PS4 games, or PlayStation Greatest Hits, there are tons of games under $15 right now.

E3 isn't leaving PC gamers out in the cold. There are plenty of E3 deals for everyone, whether you game on a console, a desktop, or a dark obelisk thrumming with eldritch power.

E3 Games You Can Already Preorder

Most of the games debuting at this year's E3 won't hit store shelves for months, or even years, but there are more than a few coming out this year and early in 2020 that you can already preorder. You'll get a few bonus in-game items or add-ons with most preorders. We're likely months away from the earliest of hands-on reviews of these titles, so keep that in mind if you decide to prepurchase.

  • Cadence of Hyrule for $25 (Nintendo Switch): Available on the Switch eShop this week, Cadence of Hyrule is a remix of the popular rhythm-dungeon-crawling game Crypt of the Necrodancer, starring familiar faces from the Legend of Zelda series. Dance-fight your way through randomly generated dungeons and explore the familiar world of Hyrule.

  • Gears 5 for $60 (Xbox One): The fifth entry in the storied Gears of War franchise sees new life in this series, even as old life bursts through the crust of the planet. The third-person shooter pits you against the hordes of enemies in service of a mysterious new threat. Gears 5 hits store shelves on September 10.

  • Borderlands 3 for $60 (XB1/PS4): In the raucous looter-shooter Borderlands 3 you run wild on the planet of Eden-6 as a futuristic treasure hunter. You'll slay enemies by the hundreds, gather up weapons and other loot, and head out to do it all again! Borderlands 3 boasts procedurally generated loot, with more than 1 billion unique weapons. Borderlands 3 comes out on September 13.

  • Death Stranding for $60 (PS4): Bizarre, cryptic, and cryptically bizarre, Death Stranding is the third-person action-adventure game from designer Hideo Kojima and his new studio Kojima Productions. This is Kojima's first since parting ways with Konami and the blockbuster Metal Gear franchise he created. In Death Stranding you take on the role of a courier braving the wastes of a ruined world, haunted by invisible beings almost as mysterious as the game itself. It comes out on November 8.

  • Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order for $51 ($9 off, XB1/PS4/PC): We haven't seen much of Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order, but what we have seen is promising. In this third-person action-adventure game, you play as a Jedi who assists the budding rebellion in the early years of the Jedi Purge. You must master the Force and stand against the Empire and its inquisitors, sent to eradicate the Jedi from the galaxy. It will be available November 15.

  • Doom Eternal for $50 ($10 off, XB1/PS4/PC): You are a badass space marine protecting Earth from the forces of hell. Since you let loose on Mars in the first game, the legions of hell now have their sights set on the birthplace of humanity, and you are all that stands between them and the annihilation of the human race—well, you and your extensive arsenal of guns, blades, and heavy metal. Set for release on December 31.

  • Luigi's Mansion 3 for $60 (Nintendo Switch): Luigi is back to creep through another haunted mansion. This time, he also has a friend who is made of goo ... named Gooigi. No firm release date yet, but it's expected sometime in 2019.

  • Cyberpunk 2077 for $60 (XB1/PS4): The hotly anticipated first-person-shooter role-playing game from CD Projekt Red. You are a cybernetically augmented mercenary in 2077, exploring the dangerous underworld of Night City, a megacity in the Free Republic of California. With the spoils of your illicit activities you can upgrade your tech, your skills, and your arsenal, and maybe hang out with Keanu Reeves too. Hits store shelves on April 16, 2020.
